The only tour of Montmartre with a native guide from Montmartre !
In this tour we are going to share our time between Art, History and Food stores.
Meet me in front of the Moulin Rouge and then let’s go for a walk in my neighbourhood.
You will see places where lived artists such as Picasso, Renoir, Degas, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, Apollinaire, Eric Satie, Maurice Utrillo and his mother Suzanne Valadon…
Then, after a nice walk, we will reach the top of the hill call la Place du Tertre, where painters are working in live.
We will enjoy one of the best view on Paris and see the Sacré-Coeur basilica which is the most visited monuments in town since the closure of Notre Dame cathedral.
Montmartre keeps the largest vineyard of Paris.
Those vineyards are not so old, as the painter Poulbot, planted them in the 30’s in order to avoid the construction of new buildings on this site.
Today, kids of Montmartre are called les petits Poulbots.
Every year, in October, Montmartre celebrates the harvest festival ( La fête des vendanges ).
During the walk we’ll stop in different food and wine stores.
I prefer to tell you that we go in some places where only the locals go.
In a food tour, most of tour guides (who are not from Montmartre or even Paris) will always take you to the same busy places : rue des Abbesses, Saint Germain des Prés, marché d’Aligre.
With me you can be sure to see something really different and to feel like a Montmartrois.
After the visit, you will have the wine and food tasting session you deserve.
The experience will take place in a top floor apartment just behind the Sacré-Coeur.
Food and wines are not included in the price. We stop in some food and wine stores and you buy anything you want. I will help you to choose the right products.
Count around 25€ to 60€ per person depending on which wine you want to have.
Sorry this tour is not available in a wheelchair.
