Located at the entrance of one of the largest bay in the world where the strongest tide in Europe are happening, the Mont Saint Michel is a monastery but at the same time a fortress and a village.
Nicknamed the Marvel of the Occident during the middle ages, the monastery was created in 708 by a local bishop named Aubert.
The actual buildings were made after the settlement of the North Men around 980 and then different styles of architecture will be added to the abbey church and its monastery.
